Creating a technical infrastructure is the third line of work of an IT specialist. The apprenticeship focuses on the structure and function of a computer system, as well as securing operation of computer networks. Application-specific programming languages, operating systems and database technologies are further pillars.

We offer this area of specialisation at our Frankenthal location. Further information on this area of specialisation can be found here.

Mechatronics / Precision Engineering (Part-Time)

Intelligent and increasingly miniaturized components or machines can be developed and produced with the help of Mechatronics and Precision Engineering. These are often complex systems in which the combination of electronic circuits, software and precision mechanics leads to completely new technical solutions. The course of studies at the Munich University of Applied Science imparts all the necessary knowledge from areas such as Mechanics, Optics, Electronics or Computer Science.

What makes the Munich University of Applied Science special is that students have the opportunity to study Mechatronics and Precision Engineering part-time. This means, for example, that you can study while persuing your profession. The duration of study is then eleven semesters, not the usual seven. In addition, you can adapt the entire study load to your personal life and work situation, so that even studies, career and family can be balanced.

Further information about this programme offered part-time can be found here.

Mechatronics / Precision Engineering (Bachelor’s/Master’s)

This is because Production Engineers plan how these products are manufactured, which production processes are best suited and how factories and production lines can be efficiently organised.

The Production and Automation area of study prepares students for this versatile profession and provides them with the necessary knowledge – from the basics of Natural and Engineering Sciences to specialisations in the areas of Production, Automation and Information Technology. In addition, business management is also on the curriculum.

Graduates in this area are sought-after specialists who work in manufacturing companies in all sectors and have excellent prospects for the future.
